Spectral thermography |
 |
|
| Spectral thermography uses different spectral characteristics of certain materials or gases for quality control. A special application is the thermal quality control during lamp production. Using different filters the temperature distribution of a glass surface can be determined. Alternatively the temperature distribution of the filament can be measured within the glass bulb. Temperature distributions on thin foils or gases can be measured spectrally at defined absorption bands only because these materials are transparent for thermography. |
